CLUB CUBANO - A taste of Cuba in the heart of the city
Popular Union Street institution Mr. Goodbar is celebrating its second year of existence by bringing us a Cuban-themed pop up bar Club Cubano just in time for Adelaide’s Festival season.
Last Saturday, MANABOUTADL were privileged to be invited to the launch of this pop-up bar. As soon as we stepped foot into this uber cool venue, we were fooled into thinking we had just stepped into a bar off the streets of Havana. The bar was adorned in bright colours with the odd fedora hanging from the ceiling.
With the combination of ice cold cocktails and a selection of tapas dishes on offer, Club Cubano is one of the East Ends hottest venues this Summer.
Club Cubano is the brainchild of Mr. Good bar owner Goran Dedic who recently returned from a trip to the Caribbean Island Country. Goran fell head over heels for the country’s food and culture and wanted Adelaide to experience a little Cuban culture in our city. Goran says, “I wanted to give Adelaide a taste of the country’s eternal summers, nostalgic bays, endless white beaches and funky beats”. Goran’s passion for the country was evident at Saturday nights launch as the night was complete with a fun and vibrant atmosphere complete with Cuban dancers.
Club Cubano will also double as an official 2018 Adelaide Fringe Venue, offering the cocktail masterclass Mr. Good bar’s Guide to Good Drinking’. You can find tickets HERE! The masterclass will equip you with skills that even Tom Cruise in Cocktail would envy. If you enjoy a cocktail, the masterclass will guide you through five thirst quenching cocktails whilst also learning the science behind an amazing cocktail.
Club Cubano is now open and will be around until the 18th of March 2018.
