Somewhat lost in mild disappointment of Sunday, not only bringing the Crows their second consecutive loss, but seeing Port Adelaide slide out of the top four, is the excitement all South Australians should be feeling about the upcoming weekend and those that follow.
Adelaide, we have two finals at our magnificent city stadium in one weekend! It's the first time that has happened in 14 years.
On Thursday night, the top-placed Crows face Greater Western Sydney in what will surely be a sell-out imminently.
Forget the questionable time slot, Adelaide fans will be out in force to cheer their side into a home Preliminary Final.
A short 48 hours later, it's the Power's turn, as they do battle with West Coast, after the Crows were kind enough to let them sneak into the eight last week. The last time the Power hosted a home final at Adelaide Oval, they absolutely devoured Richmond and the atmosphere was ridiculous.
With excitement already building throughout town, the city should be buzzing with fans all weekend. With any luck, these won't be the last finals we see played in Adelaide in 2017.
This is a huge few days for SA football. Enjoy the atmosphere and let's hope our teams deliver.
