Is this REALm life?

October 10, 2017

Some may say that our city skyline has not changed much since the 1980’s. That observation would be correct as Westpac House has held the title of Adelaide’s tallest building since 1988. With new planning and development laws in place and a huge push for CBD living by our Lord Mayor Martin Haese, Adelaide is set to boom in the next few years and it starts now. Here is some exciting news for all you infrastructure enthusiasts, construction has now commenced on our new tallest building to be constructed by MAXCON as announced by developers Parallel Property.

Let me tell you what I know about REALM Adelaide; REALM is set to significantly change our skyline as it will not only be our city's tallest, it’s design is really something to behold. Renowned Melbourne Architectural firm Elenberg Fraser is entering the SA market with this absolutely stunning residential skyscraper. The skyscraper will be built above the historic Assay House which was built in 1858 and was the location for gold rush prospectors to take their gold to be weighed and melted into the Adelaide Pound. The historic façade of Assay House will be retained and used for entertainment purposes. The history of the site is respected in the design of the building featuring gold tones throughout which will shine as the jewel in Adelaide’s emerging skyline.

“REALM Adelaide went where no local development had gone before, in height, amenity and design. REALM Adelaide’s golden geometric form will stand out on the Adelaide Skyline, creating a strong architectural statement in the city”

- Callum Fraser (Founder of Elenberg Fraser)

Standing at 132 metres tall and valued at $100M, this 40-level beauty offers 314 luxury residences and ammenities. REALM Adelaide exudes opulence and is currently our CBD’s most sought-after address. It not only offers luxury living but also provide you with all the amenities one could ask for including a CrossFit-enabled gym, numerous private function spaces including a games room, outdoor terrace featuring a 25-metre lap pool and spa leading to a rooftop entertaining area that is perfect to host a barbecue for friends or a cocktail party for social elite. All of this is offered with all our city’s entertainment zones, Adelaide Oval, Rundle Mall, Rundle Street and the Central Market Precinct, a short walk or tram ride away.

“With a $100 million build cost we are devoted to exceeding expectations and altering what others cannot. In addition to delivering a superior product, we will privately manage the 24-hour concierge, guarantee 5% return on your apartment for the first two years, uphold a no Airbnb policy and deliver extensive six-star amenities to name a few.”

- Ben Small (SA Sales Director for REALM Adelaide)

This development is a vote of confidence for our city’s future and is a sign of an ever-evolving Adelaide.
