Yeah Buoy - Drunken Sailor Opens in North Adelaide

Cross a high end seafood restaurant with your local old school fish and chip shop, sprinkle on some creativity, modernity and a bar atmosphere. Bam! You've got the latest addition to North Adelaide's already impressive food repertoire, Drunken Sailor.

Attached to The Curious Squire at the Southern tip of O'Connell Street, the brand new seafood shop boasts an exciting range of dishes for takeaway or sit-down dining. MAN ABOUT ADL was lucky enough to be in attendance for the launch, as the menu was unveiled. Not a dish disappointed. The trusty classics, including baby squid and battered fish and chips, were flawless. The 'prawn star' combined Asian influences in a tempura batter and steam bun with chipotle mayo to delightful effect. But it was the 'Gobbledok Burger' that will make you go out of your way to come back. You can't imagine a more perfectly crusted fresh piece of barramundi on a burger.

To drink, try the 'Boats and Shmoes' session ale. It's Drunken Sailor's house beer - on tap and courtesy of the brewers at Malt Fiction.

Provided they can continue to whip up this fresh seafood at a rapid rate, this is a perfect new option for a pre-game bite and beer on the way to the cricket or footy at Adelaide Oval.

Don't sleep on this one, Adelaide. Open now at 10 O'Connell St North Adelaide.
