Morphettville Racecourse and White Marquee Event Hire join forces to bring us an epic Spring Racing
Spring racing is officially here and Morphettville Racecourse is the place to be this season. Offering punters a huge selection of race days and activities, there is also a brand new trackside look with an exclusive partnership between Morphettville Racecourse and White Marquee Event Hire.
White Marquee, the masterminds behind iconic South Australian event setups including the Adelaide Fashion Festival Hub and Polo in the City, have joined forces with Morphettville Racecourse to create an exciting trackside village to rival those interstate. “We have been working closely with Morphettville Racecourse to create a bespoke and unique trackside area for the 2018 AAMI Spring Carnival of Racing,” says White Marquee General Manager, Greg Evangelou. “Our aim is to bring a touch of Flemington to Adelaide; we want to give race-goers all the the thrills of Flemington at South Australia’s most prestigious racing venue. At the heart of Morphettville’s new-look trackside village is our stunning AAMI Marquee on the Champagne Lawns.
Guests will be treated to a view of the track that has never been seen before at Morphettville Racecourse.” The jam-packed Spring Carnival program features events suitable for everyone – from Romeo’s Family Race Day on October 13th, to Ladies Day at Caulfield Cup on October 20th, to the glamorous Derby Day on November 2nd. On October 27th, a four-metre mega screen will showcase the master mare, Winx, attempt her record fourth Cox Plate, with over 4,000 people expected to be on course to witness this incredible exploit of racing never to be repeated.
For the race that stops the nation on November 6th, guests will receive the full Melbourne Cup treatment in the AAMI Marquee, with an exclusive VIP race day experience. “Whether you’re a lover of fashion, racing or Mumm champagne, the 2018 AAMI Spring Carnival of Racing at Morphettville Racecourse has something for everyone,” says Morphettville Racecourse CEO, Grant Mayer. “Morphettville will be taken to the next level this season with our partnership with White Marquee and we can’t wait to reveal the new-look trackside village.
