Adelaide has been blessed with yet another exciting new Mexican destination, this time with a distinct difference. Situated within the beautifully art deco Hotel Royal on Henley Beach Rd is the new Condesa Bar & Restaurant.
Condesa takes a turn away from the 'Tex Mex' style of Mexican cuisine we are so accustomed to in Australia, in favour of more traditional and homely dishes, all with a modern twist courtesy of Head Chef Ashley Nguyen.
Highlights of the menu include the simple but weirdly delicious Smoked Chargrilled Elote, the refreshingly light Hibiscus Kingfish Ceviche, and the 16-Hour Beef Cheek Fajitas, a marvel of low & slow cooking.
Alongside the margaritas and sangrias on the drinks menu sits an impressive range of Spanish and Mexican beers, including the crisp Alhambra 1925, Modelo Especial and our favourite, the amber Bohemia Lager.
