European Style created in Adelaide’s East – GRIMALDI COUTURE
Grimaldi Couture is the latest player in Adelaide’s emerging fashion scene. Specialising in distressed biker jeans, Grimaldi is changing the way we view men’s fashion. Owner of Grimaldi Carmine Vozzo states, “fashion is powerful, it can change the way a man feels, and portrays himself. With a good fashion sense and a good pair of jeans, he’s unstoppable and he can take over the world.”
Grimaldi Couture was born from the vision of owner, operator and designer Carmine Vozzo. Having completed a course in fashion design, Carmine was transfixed in everything fashion often played mentor and fashion stylist to his friends. After working in retail and sales, Carmine took a huge risk to start his own business which he admits has required a lot of blood, sweat and determination. This risk has certainly paid off as Grimaldi Couture is now a thriving business hailing from the Eastern suburbs of Adelaide.
Born and raised in Australia and working for a company that travelled regularly, Carmine and his business partner Vince were lucky enough to be picked for an overseas trip to Italy. Carmine immersed himself into the stylish culture that comes naturally to the Italians. Carmine says, “When we were over there, we began developing an obsession for the high-end brands, and the fashion was so outstanding, it couldn’t be ignored”. As a result, Carmine ran with all guns blazing to develop his own fashion label – Grimaldi Couture as we know it today. Carmine recognized a serious gap when it comes to high-end fashion pieces that exude authentic Italian quality that was within an appropriate price bracket for the Aussie market. Having researched the market and spending hours in designing their current range, Carmine sent the designs to be made.
Carmine is a creative individual who has a true passion for fashions and design. Carmine say’s that his dreams have come true with the launch of Grimaldi Couture. Carmine is a proud South Australian and is confident that the public will support his venture. This just goes to show that if you have something you live for, you will not stop at anything to make it happen. Carmine believes that Grimaldi Couture’s luxury pieces are truly valuable for every man and his best friend.
