Labels Style Market - The perfect Sunday sesh!

I attended my first Labels Style Market by Ellery Events on Saturday 22 October and I’ve realised it is just as much a day for the guys as it is for the girls. Long touted as a female dominated event, The Labels Style Market is actually a good excuse for a Sunday catch up with. Plant 4 Bowden is the perfect setting for these markets with an industrial warehouse feel. Packed with local retailers and stall holders, Labels Style Markets showcases the amazing talent we have in this state.

Among the stall holders, I came across Cubik Cloth. Cubik Cloth is a local brand that proudly creates its fresh threads right here in Australia. The style is cool high street urban streetwear. Think oversized jumpers and hoodies, super cool denim and tees that your mates will want to borrow and never return.

Blaax Watches also had a great presence at the market with majority of their timepieces on show and to purchase. Blaax another proud South Australian business that creates watches that are minimalistic yet elegant in design. With a variety of watch faces and straps to choose from, you won’t leave without coming across a style that you would want to rep on your wrist. They also have some other uber cool men’s accessories including bracelets and wallets. I came across one of my all-time favourites - Bow-Tie Label. Bow-Tie Label is a venture created by Adelaide Stylist and DJ Filip Odzak. Filip makes you feel so at ease when trying to choose the right bow-tie to suit your personality. Filip uses luxe fabrics and has a plethora of design options that include both classic style bow-ties and some that are a little more bold for the more adventurous dressers. Let me assure you, you will fall in love with Bow-Tie Label, you won't be able to stop adding to your collection, as I have done.

Upstairs, home to Spunk Monkey Co., had a selection of super warm hoodies and other apparel perfect for living a free and active lifestyle. Creative Director Cassandra is so passionate about her designs, you will want to buy the entire rack. Aside from the amazing selection of hoodies, Spunk Monkey Co. also offer tees, caps and beanies to compliment and polish the wardrobe any fella would be proud of. You could also be an absolute legend and buy your girlfriend, wife, mother, nanna or close lady friend a gift from the enormous range of women’s fashion labels.

One of the highlights of the day is the Runway Showcase, giving local designers incredible exposure to show off their latest designs in a stunning fashion parade. Seamlessly organised by Katelyn Ellery of Ellery Events Australia, to showcase emerging designers of the up and coming fashion scene we have developing here in SA. The designer showcase is like well-oiled machine with the models from Diamond Management Group elegantly making their way down the catwalk to upbeat tunes courtesy of Filip Odzak.

The market is not limited to just the latest and best in fashion, you can also find other market treasures including succulents and wall art for your home interior design projects – especially if you’ve been sucked into watching ‘The Block’ like I have. I also loved The Candle Establishment’s range of amazing diffusers and candles. Their range of flavours is something to behold, delicious scents that you would want to eat.

Sieb & Zucc also had an amazing range of luxury soy candles, wax melts and diffusers. Sieb & Zucc are a proud Adelaide business that create the most amazing smelling frangrances with most of them sourced from wild botanic plants and delicious fruits. Their products make the perfect gift for your significant other. *wink wink*

Speaking of food, WOW! Plant 4 Bowden has it all, Paella, Middle Eastern cuisine, the best Japanese Katsu Don ever as well as the best smelling Gozleme on this planet. Don’t forget Plant 4 Bowden is also home to one of Adelaide’s cult favourites Nutrition Republic. Ilija and Nicole Sumracki and their amazing team make you feel so welcome every time you walk into one of their outlets. Seriously, the best coffee you could ever imagine and don't forget Nutrition Republic stock exclusive Pana Chocolate treats, made in their kitchen.

Lost Loaf Bakery will fill the spot for something naught with one of their amazing Danishes and other baked goodies. The Lost Loaf also makes the most legendary Sourdough known to humankind. Please do yourself a favour and try it. After spending the afternoon eating and shopping your way through the market, head on upstairs for a sneaky drink to start a relaxing Sunday sesh, make a day of it and get your whole crew together.

We would like to thank Ellery Events Australia for the invite to the designer showcase.
